With the score I earned on my DLAB last Tuesday, I have qualified to work with the language I'm wanting. I just received a call from my Navy recruiter saying that the CTI rating (job) I have been after will have me leaving on the 30th of October. This is a lot sooner than January, when I had originally expected to leave, but I can't shake the feeling I'll be kicking myself for the next six years if I don't go for this now.
Which brings me to the point of this note. In all likelihood, I won't see most of you again for a long time—if ever. If the latter turns out to be the case, know that I have appreciated your friendships. I sincerely hope that all of you accomplish the goals you've set for yourselves and, well, have happy lives.
I'll be posting updates periodically about whatever I'm permitted to talk about. Don't be strangers.
